Organ
To promote organ music and nurture local talent, the Academia offers long-term organ courses that provides systematic training to deepen students’ understanding of the instrument and improve their playing skills. The programme is designed to allow students experience organ music from multiple perspectives. In addition to weekly lessons, students may also participate in Academia concerts.
The Academia’s academic year runs from September to July of the following year, and is divided into three semesters. Each academic year includes 36 lessons, combining both group and individual instruction. This structure encourages peer learning and exchange of ideas.
Course content is adjusted according to each student’s abilities and standard. A mid-term assessment is held in the middle of each academic year, during which the instructor reviews each student’s progress. At the end of the academic year, students are required to give a final organ performance, which serves as their assessment examination.
Application and enrollment information for the long-term organ courses is usually announced in mid-June. Auditions take place in mid-July, successful candidates will be notified by the end of July and tuition fees collected. Lessons begin in September.
